Pilot Baba — Mahamandaleshwar Mahayogi Pilot Baba, a revered spiritual leader of the Shri Panchadashnaam Juna Akhara, will be laid to rest in Haridwar today. Pilot Baba, who attained Brahmalin (eternal rest) on Tuesday at a hospital in Mumbai, was brought back to his ashram in Haridwar. A large number of devotees have gathered to pay their final respects. Born as Kapil Singh in Sasaram, Rohtas district of Bihar, Baba belonged to a Rajput family. He pursued higher education at Banaras Hindu University before joining the Indian Air Force. Rising to the rank of Wing Commander, Pilot Baba served in the 1962, 1965, and 1971 wars, earning numerous accolades for his bravery and service to the nation.
