Dehradun, 14th September 2024: In a significant move to promote and honor the contribution of writers, the Uttarakhand government has announced the prestigious Sahitya Bhushan Award, which will include a cash prize of ₹5 lakh. The announcement was made during a special event organized by the Uttarakhand Raj Bhasha Sansthan on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. During the event, Subodh Uniyal, the state’s Language Minister, officially declared the government’s decision to introduce the Sahitya Bhushan Award, aimed at recognizing and supporting the literary talents of Uttarakhand.
