The record of highest earning among historical films made in Hindi cinema is held by ‘Padmaavat’ which earned more than 300 crores at the domestic box office but its opening was only 24 crores. The film ‘Chhaava’ was made with budget of 130 crores. In that sense, Vicky Kaushal’s reputation is also expected to increase in Hindi cinema as the film ‘Chhaava’ has earned more than 31 crores on the first day of its release. This collection is the biggest opening of any Hindi film this year. This is the biggest opening of all historical films made in Hindi so far. Earlier this record was held by Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh starrer film ‘Padmaavat’ which had an opening of 24 crores.
