Leopard Caught on Video Roaming Streets of Bengaluru, Prompting Set Up of Capture Cages

A leopard has been caught on CCTV roaming the streets of Bengaluru, chased by stray dogs in the Singasandra area. Despite a search by police and forest officials, the elusive leopard remains at large. Authorities suspect the big cat has taken refuge in a nearby forested area and have set up capture cages to safely return it to its natural habitat. The Mahendra Singh Global School has implemented safety measures as the city remains on alert. The incident has sparked concern in the IT hub of Electronic City, home to major tech firms.

In a surprising turn of events, a leopard was spotted wandering the streets of Bengaluru, causing quite a stir among the residents. CCTV footage shows the leopard being chased by a pack of stray dogs in the Singasandra area. It’s not every day that you see such a scene!

As soon as news of the leopard spread, police and forest officials sprang into action, conducting a thorough search to locate the elusive feline. Despite their best efforts, the leopard managed to evade capture and disappear into thin air. Officials believe that it has found refuge in a nearby forested area, but they are remaining on high alert.

According to the Chief Conservator of Forests, the leopard was last seen in Singasandra near Bannerghatta, a popular area close to the renowned Bannerghatta National Park. The Mahendra Singh Global School, located in the vicinity, wasted no time in issuing an alert to ensure the safety of its students and staff. They have implemented additional safety measures within the school premises to prevent any untoward incidents.

For those unfamiliar with Bengaluru, it is worth mentioning that the city is not only known as India’s Silicon Valley but also houses major tech firms in the Electronic City, making it a bustling hub of activity and innovation.

In their efforts to capture the leopard, the forest department has set up two cages in the vegetation area at Kudlu Gate. Special cameras have also been installed to monitor the movements of the leopard. Moreover, a team of 30 forest department personnel along with drones have been deployed to track down the feline.

The ultimate goal is to safely capture the leopard and return it to its natural habitat. While it may be a thrilling sight for some, it is crucial to ensure the safety of both the animal and the residents of Bengaluru.
