Santorini in State of Emergency: Greece declared the state of emergency as Santorini is shaken by over 7,700 earthquakes in just one week.
Regular Earthquakes Reported
According to the reports, multiple earthquakes have struck the waters around the Greek island of Santorini hours after authorities have declared state of emergency. On Thursday evening, a magnitude of the 4.6 was recorded at 8:16 p.m.. After the emergency was declared on the Greek Island more than 11,000 people have been evacuated. The authorities are reporting earthquakes in minute by minute intervals.

Police and Military Force Deployed
Santorini residents have begun night patrols due to fears that the island might get looted since most of the residents have evacuated the region. According to the experts, it is still unclear exactly when these seismic activities in the region will end. One of the most severe earthquake was witnessed on Wednesday which was of magnitude 5.2.

Additional police units and military forces have been deployed on the island to help the region cope with any major earthquake.
