WHO Exit from US: US President Donald Trump signed an executive order which would withdraw the United States out of World Health Organisation (WHO).
Donald Trump Fulfills his Promise
On becoming the Prime Minister Donald Trump fulfilled his campaign promise to pull the US out of World health Organisation (WHO). According to the US media reports, the US is WHO’s top donor that contributed about $130 million per year to help covered Global health response along with efforts to address HIV, tuberculosis and childhood vaccination.

WHO To Get Major Setback
Donald Trump had started the process of withdrawing from WHO during his first term. He claimed earlier that the agency failed badly responding to covid-19 and had not demonstrated its independence from China. But the then President, Joe Biden reversed it on his first day in office.
This move can turn now to be a major setback for WHO as US has historically been the largest funder of Global health agency headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
