DJs Restricted, Donations Monitored: Saraswati Puja Preparations Underway in Patna
Shanti Samiti recently held a meeting at Dagarua Police Station to discuss the upcoming Saraswati Puja. The meeting was chaired by Thanaadhyaksh Ravindra Kumar, who appealed for peaceful celebrations of the festival.
During the meeting, several important decisions were made. It was decided that no DJ would be allowed during the puja procession and immersion. Carrying weapons during the procession was also prohibited. The authorities made it clear that strict action would be taken against anyone violating these rules.
To ensure compliance, DJs would be seized and legal action would be taken against the owners and licensed puja organizers. Unlicensed puja pandals would not be permitted. The authorities also stressed that stringent measures would be taken against those who disrupt peace during the puja.
The meeting was attended by prominent individuals, including Mukhiya Shahnavaz Alam alias Pappu, Mo. Tausif Alam, Sanullah Alam, Meraj Alam, Deep Narayan Yadav, Nair Alam, and Abdul Rashid.
Meanwhile, the administration in Masaurhi, Patna, is cracking down on forced donations for Saraswati Puja in 2024. Disciplinary officers have been appointed at 51 locations to prevent the collection of donations by force.
A meeting was held under the leadership of the SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) to discuss the preparations for Saraswati Puja and address the issue of forced donations. Immediate action will be taken against those involved in forced donation collection, and the vehicles used will be closely monitored.
To ensure smooth operations, two control rooms have been set up to monitor activities in the sub-division. Additionally, the SDM has directed that idols be immersed in artificial ponds instead of rivers to prevent pollution.
To maintain law and order during the puja, 51 disciplinary officers and police officials have been appointed. The authorities have also warned that strict actions will be taken against those spreading rumors on social media.
The SDM stressed the need to closely monitor forced donation collection during Saraswati Puja. Creating artificial ponds for idol immersion is an important step to prevent pollution of rivers. These measures show the commitment of the administration to ensure a peaceful and environmentally-friendly celebration of Saraswati Puja.
