Elephant on Railway Track:A wild elephant caused alarm when it wandered onto the railway track near Jwalapur, Haridwar. Forest department officials, along with the railway administration, worked together to ensure the elephant’s safety and prevent any accidents. The train speed was reduced until the track was cleared.

The forest department’s railway track team promptly coordinated with railway officials to issue a caution. After significant effort, the elephant was safely driven back into the forest, and normal train operations resumed.

Range Officer Shailendra Singh Negi confirmed that specialized teams have been deployed to prevent elephants from straying onto railway tracks. These measures are crucial in protecting wildlife while maintaining smooth rail operations.
