A Milestone in Pediatric Treatment
AIIMS Rishikesh has inaugurated its Center for Advanced Pediatric Ward, marking a significant step in comprehensive child healthcare. The ward integrates treatments for various pediatric conditions under one roof, catering to newborns and adolescents up to 18 years old.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The 42-bed ward features advanced units like:
- NICU & PICU for intensive care.
- Specialized Surgeries: Pediatric cardiovascular, orthopedic, and general surgeries.
- ICU & General Beds for diverse medical needs.
Inspired by PGI Chandigarh
Led by AIIMS Rishikesh Director Prof. Meenu Singh, formerly associated with PGI Chandigarh, the facility follows a similar advanced pediatric care model. Prof. Singh’s vision emphasizes holistic child healthcare, streamlining complex treatments in one location.
Multiple Responsibilities Handled by Prof. Meenu Singh
Apart from heading AIIMS Rishikesh, Prof. Singh oversees AIIMS Bathinda (Punjab) and AIIMS Rewari (Haryana), demonstrating her leadership in advancing medical infrastructure.
Enhanced Access to Pediatric Care
Previously, pediatric treatments were scattered across departments. This centralized ward now ensures efficient care for conditions like neonatal disorders, chronic illnesses, and specialized surgical needs.
