CM Maan to Pay Tribute to Martyrs in Delhi on Shaheed Diwas 2024

Today, on March 23rd, India commemorates ‘Shaheed Diwas’, also known as Martyrs’ Day. It is a day to honor the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country. This day holds great significance in Indian history as it marks the day when three iconic revolutionaries – Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru – were hanged by the British in 1931.

On March 23, Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann will visit the National Martyrs Memorial, Hussainiwala at the state-level ceremony to offer floral tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on martyrdom day.

During a review conference with the various departments for the planning and issuing essential directives for the event, Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner, revealed this.Speaking at the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner said that Hussainiwala will celebrate Martyrdom Day on March 23 this year, much as in previous years.

In order to prevent any issues, he gave the officials of each department instructions to finish making all the necessary preparations for the commemoration of this martyrdom event on time.

On this solemn day, CM Maan paid tribute to the martyrs, reaffirming their place in our hearts and history. The BJP also honored Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, describing them as symbols of patriotism and sacrifices for Mother India. Various events and tributes across the country highlight the significance of Martyrs’ Day in India, reminding us of the courage and valor of those who fought for our freedom.
