The state plans to develop six dedicated drone corridors:
- Locations: Three in Garhwal and three in Kumaon regions, all interconnected.
- Purpose: To ensure seamless and efficient air traffic between Garhwal and Kumaon, avoiding disruption to existing aviation services.
Real-time monitoring will be enabled by an Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) software, ensuring safety in drone operations.

Nitika Khandelwal, ITDA Director, emphasized that these developments align with future commercial and governmental applications of drones. ITDA has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from organizations to propose innovative concepts for these projects.
