Rudrapur Nurse Murder Case:The Women’s Congress highlighted the urgency of addressing crimes against women and called for immediate justice. “We demand the harshest punishment for the accused. The law must serve as a deterrent to such heinous crimes,” said one of the protestors.
SP City Manoj Katyal assured the protesters that the investigation is being conducted with the utmost seriousness. “We are committed to ensuring that the accused receives the strictest punishment possible under the law,” Katyal stated.

Rudrapur Nurse Murder Case:The incident involves a 32-year-old nurse from Islamnagar, Gadarupur, who worked at a hospital on Nainital Road. She lived with her 11-year-old daughter in a colony in Bilaspur. On July 30, 2024, she went missing, and her sister filed a missing person report at the Rudrapur Kotwali on July 31.
Following the report, police reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the nurse was last seen near her colony on the evening of July 30. Days later, her skeletal remains were discovered in the bushes near an empty plot on the road leading to her colony. The family identified her through her clothing.
The brutal nature of the crime has intensified calls for justice, with many in the community demanding the death penalty for the accused. The Women Congress’s protest reflects the growing public demand for swift and severe punishment for those responsible for crimes against women.
