Encounter In Jammu and Kashmir Update: A fresh gunfight erupted near Jakhole village in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday as security forces continued their massive anti-terror operation.
Encounter Lasted For 30 Minutes
The ongoing operation, now in its 4th day, was launched after a previous firefight near the Hiranagar sector on March 23. Security forces, including the police, army, NSG, BSF, and CRPF, are engaged in a large-scale search involving advanced technology such as UAVs, drones and bulletproof vehicles. The encounter which lasted over 30 minutes, left 2 police personnel injured. Officials believe the terrorists may have infiltrated India through a tunnel from Pakistan. The search continues as forces work to track down the infiltrators.
