Increased craze for Jungle Safari: Chilla Range of Rajaji Tiger Reserve sees most slots booked

High Demand for Online Bookings

The Chilla Range of Rajaji Tiger Reserve has witnessed a surge in interest for jungle safaris. As the range gates opened for the season, most slots were booked quickly, with 70% of bookings done online—a significant rise compared to last year’s 30%.

Wildlife Enthusiasts Change the Trend

Known for its elephants, tigers, leopards, and diverse bird species, the Chilla Range is a hotspot for wildlife lovers. The availability of both online and offline booking options has shifted preferences, with tourists increasingly opting for online registrations to save time.

Safari Details and Performance

The reserve allows a maximum of 60 gypsies per day, split equally between morning and evening shifts. In the first three days, nearly all slots were utilized. Wardens report that online booking awareness has streamlined the process for both visitors and the management.

Officials’ Statements

According to Sarita Bhatt, Warden of Chilla, online bookings have enhanced convenience for tourists. Shashi Rana Koti, Secretary of the Safari Welfare Society, mentioned that the doubling of online bookings compared to last year indicates a promising season ahead.

Tourists can now seamlessly book their tickets, experience nature’s beauty, and encounter wildlife in this captivating reserve.
