Not only this, LIU has also been asked to remain active in relation to incidents happening at street vendors etc. DGP Abhinav Kumar issued instructions on Tuesday and said that in recent days, videos of spitting in food items at hotels, vendors etc. were going viral.

- Hotel and Dhaba operators should get 100 percent verification of their workers and employees done.
- Operators should be encouraged to install CCTV cameras in the kitchen.
- Attention should also be paid to such incidents during patrolling.
- From time to time, the police should check hotels and Dhabas in collaboration with the Food Safety Department.
- In such cases, a case should be registered under the Police Act and Section 274 (adulteration in food items) of BNS.
- If there is a possibility of linguistic, communal conflict in such cases, then a case should be registered under BNS 196 (1) (acts disturbing communal harmony) or BNS 299 (insulting religious belief).
- Run awareness campaign in collaboration with local bodies and Food Safety Department. No place for misdeeds in Uttarakhand
