Massive Air India Plane Crash In Ahmedabad: Today afternoon an Air India Boeing Dreamliner flight AI171 bound for London crashed shortly after takeoff with 242 passengers on board.
Crashed Just 10 Minutes After Takeoff
The incident occurred in the Meghani area, close to the airport. According to the information received, debris was found scattered on the site after the plane crashed. The fire service and other agencies have started rescue operations at the spot. The number of dead and injured in the accident has not been revealed yet.
The plane that crashed was going from Ahmedabad to London and fell in a residential area just 10 minutes after take-off from Ahmedabad International Airport. The accident was so severe that the plane turned into debris. Many badly burnt passengers are being taken to the hospital.

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel has also rushed to the site while Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured central assistance. Air India has stated that there were 169 Indian Nationals, 53 British Nationals, 1 Canadian National and 7 Portugese Nationals in the flight.
