It’s a festive atmosphere in Ayodhya as the Bakrid festival, also known as Eid-ul-Azha, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm. Prayers are being offered in around 80 mosques in Ayodhya and Cantt city, with a total of 167 mosques and Eidgahs in the entire Ayodhya district hosting prayers for the occasion.
To ensure the safety and security of the celebrations, strict security arrangements have been put in place. The city’s Qazi Maulana has urged Muslims to conduct prayers within the legal boundaries, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the regulations.
Eidgah in Civil Lines is hosting prayers for Sunni Muslims in two phases, while arrangements are also being made at Shia Jama Masjid for the prayers. The prayers are focused on praying for the safety, humanity, and protection of the Islamic world on this auspicious occasion.
As the festivities continue, the police have been placed on high alert to maintain security during the celebrations. Police officers have been assigned to monitor sensitive locations, with drone cameras being used for surveillance during the prayers.
SSP Abhishek Singh has emphasized the importance of following security protocols, urging people not to offer prayers on the road and to ensure proper disposal of remains from sacrificed animals. With these measures in place, the authorities are working diligently to ensure the successful and safe completion of the Eid-ul-Azha prayers in Ayodhya.
