Following a recent incident in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued strict warnings, reiterating that actions like “Thook Jihad,” religious conversion, land encroachments, and other illegal activities will not be tolerated in the state. Speaking at a Dehradun event, Dhami emphasized the importance of preserving the religious and cultural identity of Uttarakhand, often referred to as “Devbhoomi” (Land of Gods). As the festival season approaches, CM Dhami stressed the need to ensure that people receive pure food and essentials, warning against those attempting to disrupt the state’s peaceful and spiritual nature.
Dhami’s administration has been firm in combating illegal land deals, religious conversions, and any activities that threaten the state’s identity. He ordered a comprehensive investigation into the Mussoorie incident and directed authorities to take strict actions. Recently, Dhami instructed the Chief Secretary and Revenue Secretary to probe land sales that violate the state’s land laws, calling for stringent actions to maintain Uttarakhand’s integrity.
The CM’s actions aim to safeguard Uttarakhand from elements that seek to disturb its harmony, particularly as the state gears up for its festive season. The administration remains committed to ensuring public safety and upholding law and order, while also protecting Uttarakhand’s sacred and cultural heritage.
This clear message highlights the government’s commitment to preserving the state’s spiritual and cultural significance.
