UCC Uniform Civil CodePortal to Integrate Key Services for Immediate Verification

Uttarakhand is poised to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) on November 9, coinciding with its Statehood Day. A specialized committee tasked with formulating the UCC’s regulations has completed its work, and the UCC portal is nearly ready. The portal will connect with services like Aadhaar, PAN, and SEBI for seamless document verification, eliminating the need for manual paperwork or visits to government offices.

Secure Platform and Immediate Execution

The UCC portal will operate through NIC’s secure data center to protect against cyber threats. Upon legislative approval, the law will be enacted, with awareness campaigns set for marriage, divorce, and live-in registrations by May 2025. Additionally, free will registration services will be offered to ensure uniform inheritance laws and address property disputes across all religions.
