Uttarkashi Wildlife Smuggling Incident:The Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF), in coordination with Kotwali police, apprehended a man in possession of two deer legs and musk, allegedly bought from Lakhamandal and intended for sale in Vikasnagar. Acting on a tip, STF Inspector Narottam Singh Bisht led the team that intercepted the suspect, Krishna Kumar, in the Premnagar area. Kumar, a resident of Uttarkashi’s Lara village, was residing in Herbertpur. Authorities also found a military canteen card on him. A case has been filed under the Wildlife Protection Act, and efforts are ongoing to locate his accomplice, identified as Vikky, who provided the illegal items.
