The Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken a significant reshuffling in the police department, with seven Deputy Police Commissioners and eight Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) officers being transferred to new roles. Key officers like Jitendra Dubey and Raghavendra Singh have been reassigned, while Praveen Singh’s transfer has been cancelled, with new roles assigned to him. The recent transfers, carried out by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) headquarters in Uttar Pradesh, took place on Friday, impacting various districts including Lucknow, Kasganj, Bhadohi, and more.

In a recent development, the Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken significant transfers within the police department, reshuffling key positions to optimize operational efficiency and strategic effectiveness.
Here are some of the notable changes that have been made
1. ASP Jitendra Kumar Dubey, previously serving in Kasganj, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lucknow.
2. Rajesh Kumar, the ASP of Bhadohi, has been reassigned to Kasganj.
3. Dr. Tejveer Singh, former DSP-ASP of Bareilly, has been moved to Bhadohi.
4. Raghavendra Singh Pratham, who held the position of ASP in Agra, has been designated as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lucknow.
5. Sanjay Kumar Tretiya, former ASP of Azamgarh traffic, has been transferred to Gorakhpur traffic.
6. Vivek Tripathi, the ASP of Varanasi traffic, has assumed the role of ASP of Azamgarh traffic.
7. Rashmi Rani, previously serving as ASP of Police Recruitment and Promotion Board in Lucknow, has been transferred to the ASP notification headquarters in Lucknow.
8. Monica Chaddha, also from the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board in Lucknow, has been relocated within the same department.
9. The transfer order of Praveen Singh Chauhan, ASP Staff Officer ADG Zone Prayagraj, to ASP traffic Gorakhpur has been revoked, and he has been appointed as the Deputy Commander of 4th Battalion PSC Prayagraj.
These transfers were conducted by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) headquarters in Uttar Pradesh and also involved ASPs from Kasganj, Bhadohi, Bareilly, and Azamgarh.
It is worth noting that Staff Officer Raghavendra Singh of Agra has been named as the ASP Deputy Commissioner of Police in Lucknow, and Staff Officer Ajay Kumar Singh of Prayagraj, whose transfer to Gorakhpur was cancelled, has been assigned the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police in the 4th Battalion PSC in Prayagraj.
These changes, which took effect on Friday, aim to streamline the operations of the police department and enhance overall effectiveness in maintaining law and order across Uttar Pradesh.
