Delhi Airport Terminal 2 To Revamp: Big news for all flyers travelling through Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) as there is a big change coming your way! Starting April 15, Terminal 2 (T2) will be temporarily shut down for an extensive revamp, which is expected to last for several months.

Your travel plans won’t be impacted for long! All IndiGo and Akasa Air flights will now operate out of the newly expanded Terminal 1 (T1) during the revamp of Terminal 2.

  • 100 Check-in Counters to handle the rush
  • 36 Self Baggage Drop Kiosks for quick check-in
  • 108 Self-Service Check-in Kiosks for a seamless experience
  • Double the baggage handling capacity, ensuring faster processing
  • 40 Million Passenger Capacity – a significant boost to the terminal’s efficiency

The transformation of Terminal 2 is expected to take around 4 to 6 months. Once completed, T2 will offer upgraded facilities, enhancing the overall travel experience.
