Dharma Sansad: Saints criticize administration, perform ‘Sadbuddhi Yagya’

The Dharma Sansad held at the premises of the Juna Akhada in Uttarakhand saw saints express strong disapproval of the administration’s actions. A special Sadbuddhi Yagya was performed, invoking divine blessings for wisdom to administrative officials. Prominent saints, including Mahamandaleshwar Yati Narsinghanand, Dr. Udita Tyagi, and others, participated in the event.

Saints’ Outrage Against Officials

Yati Narsinghanand accused the administration of disrespecting Sanatan Dharma, stating, “For the first time, I feel compelled to offer prayers for the destruction of those hindering the protection of Sanatan Dharma.”

Claims of Rising Threats to Sanatan Dharma

  • Saints criticized the government for silence on atrocities in Bangladesh while penalizing those raising their voices in India.
  • Narsinghanand alleged the rise of “Muslim terrorism” and urged immediate action from both state and central governments.

Supreme Court Misinterpretation

Swami Narsinghanand claimed administrative actions citing Supreme Court directives were misplaced. He stated, “The Court only ordered videography of Dharma Sansad proceedings, not interference.”

Saints Demand Accountability

  • Mahant Raju Das of Ayodhya’s Hanuman Garhi called the administrative actions “an insult to Sanatan Dharma.”
  • Kali Charan Maharaj highlighted the need for religious leaders to guide political powers rather than bowing to them.

Participants in Dharma Sansad

The event saw participation from prominent saints such as Shri Mahant Mahakal Giri, Sadhvi Nirmala, Swami Avadhesh Prapannacharya, and many others, alongside a large gathering of devotees.

Appeal for Action

Saints urged Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take cognizance of the situation and act to protect the dignity of Sanatan Dharma.

This incident underscores the growing tension between religious communities and administrative authorities, emphasizing the need for dialogue and mutual respect.
