Sharjah Islamic Forum Unveils Vibrant Plans for Ramadan Festival, Promoting Cultural Exchange and Tolerance

The Sharjah Islamic Forum has unveiled its exciting Ramadan agenda, aimed at promoting Islamic cultural events during the holy month. Their focus is on spreading authentic knowledge of Islam, fostering tolerance, and harmony among the community.

This year’s agenda is diverse, catering to various groups within society. Programs range from women’s sports initiatives to educational lectures for inmates, with special classes planned for the students at Al Amal School for the Deaf.

Collaborating with the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, the forum is committed to providing religious education to vulnerable groups and enriching them with Islamic values and traditions.

Looking ahead to Ramadan 2024, the Sports Complex Management has ambitious plans to organize physical competitions that combine knowledge, sports, and exercise, offering a unique blend of activities for participants.

The upcoming 34th Sharjah Ramadan Festival, scheduled from March 8 to April 13, 2024, promises to envelop the entire emirate in a tapestry of discussions and events involving both government and private entities. Popular shopping centers, tourist spots, and retail outlets are gearing up to host a wide array of activities spanning marketing, entertainment, and heritage themes during the festival period.

This year, the festival’s reach will extend beyond the city center, reaching out to the suburbs and neighboring towns in Sharjah’s central and eastern regions. Discounts, contests, and recreational events are all part of the plan to stimulate the local economy and engage residents and visitors alike.

Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), emphasized the festival’s significant role in bolstering Sharjah’s economy, particularly in the retail and tourism sectors. By showcasing the emirate’s cultural and heritage attractions, the festival aims to provide a unique and immersive experience for visitors, ultimately attracting a larger number of tourists and driving economic growth in Sharjah.
