Similarly, Badrinath and surrounding peaks, including Neelkanth and Vasudhara Trek, are also devoid of snow, showcasing the evident impact of climate change in the region.
Observation from Gurudwara Officials
Seva Singh, a Gurudwara manager, reported no significant snowfall since the temple’s closure, with only a light snow cover recorded earlier.
Affected Areas Across Uttarakhand
Prominent peaks around Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Tungnath also lack the usual snow cover. Iconic areas such as Vasuki Tal, Kalindi Parvat, and Bedni Bugyal are experiencing a similar scenario, reflecting broader climate disruptions.
The absence of snow raises environmental concerns, signaling potential long-term impacts on the region’s ecosystem and religious tourism.
