Bangkok Shaken by 7.7 Magnitude Earthquake, Epicenter in Myanmar…

Earthquake In Thailand and Myanmar: A powerful earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck Bangkok on 28 March, 2025 with tremors lasting nearly 3 minutes. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Mandalay, Myanmar, over 1,200 kilometers away, yet the shaking was strong enough to sway buildings in the Thai capital.

Residents Left Shaken and Concerned

Residents across the city reported feeling the ground shake, with several buildings showing visible cracks. Emergency evacuations were carried out in high-rise buildings as a safety precaution. In addition, the earthquake caused rooftop pools to overflow, sending torrents of water cascading down the sides of buildings.

Although no major injuries have been reported in Bangkok, the unexpected tremors have left residents shaken and concerned. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and assess the damage, particularly in Myanmar, where the earthquake’s impact was more direct.
