Second installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to be credited in accounts of 70 lakh women today, Rs 1000 each

In a bid to empower women in Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Mahatari Vandan Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women in the state will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs. 1000.

So who is eligible for this scheme? Well, female residents of Chhattisgarh aged between 23 to 60 years can apply for the benefits. And the application process is pretty convenient too – it can be done either offline or online.

Now, what do you need to apply for this scheme? Make sure you have your Aadhar card, ration card, photo, mobile number, and income certificate handy while applying.

The good news is that the second installment of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana is already underway, benefitting a whopping 70 lakh women in Chhattisgarh. The first installment was no small feat either, with Rs. 636.44 crore being transferred to 68.53 lakh women on March 10.

Each woman in the state will continue to receive Rs. 1000 per month through direct benefit transfer, ensuring a steady flow of financial support to them.

Due to changes in the financial year, the release of the second installment was delayed from April 1. However, the Women and Child Development department officials have taken all necessary steps to ensure a smooth disbursal of funds to the deserving recipients.
