Dehradun, Uttarakhand – As the Uttarakhand Assembly Monsoon Session 2024 is set to commence on August 21 in Gairsain (Bhararisain), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for an important legislative party meeting. Scheduled for 6 PM today in Bhararisain, this meeting is crucial for the ruling party to sharpen its strategies and counter the anticipated onslaught from the opposition.
According to Adesh Kumar Chauhan, Chief Whip of the BJP Legislative Party, all party MLAs are expected to arrive in Bhararisain by Tuesday. Chauhan himself has already left for Gairsain, indicating the importance the party is placing on this session.
Uttarakhand Assembly Session 2024:Key Focus Areas for the BJP Meeting
The upcoming assembly session is expected to be brief, lasting only three days. However, the opposition is preparing to raise a wide range of issues, including law and order, disaster management, employment, healthcare, education, and the contentious land laws in the state. The BJP’s legislative meeting will focus on formulating effective strategies to address and neutralize these issues.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with Parliamentary Affairs and Legislative Affairs Minister Premchand Aggarwal, will lead the meeting. All ministers and most BJP MLAs will participate, ensuring a unified approach to the session.
Uttarakhand Assembly Session 2024:CM Dhami’s Agenda Before Bhararisain Arrival
Before heading to Bhararisain, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other ministers will attend various programs in the Rudraprayag district. The CM’s itinerary includes inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for several development projects. He will also participate in Raksha Bandhan celebrations and a public meeting in Agastyamuni. Additionally, around 1:30 PM, the CM will conduct an aerial survey of the disaster-affected Sonprayag area, followed by a public meeting in Ukhimath at 2 PM, where he will meet with representatives from local organizations.
The CM is expected to arrive in Bhararisain by 5:15 PM, where preparations for the assembly session will continue in full swing.

In anticipation of the session, some government officials have already left for Gairsain on Monday. High-ranking officials, including the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police, will be traveling to Gairsain today, ensuring that all preparations are in place for a smooth and productive assembly session.
The BJP’s legislative meeting in Bhararisain is a critical step for the ruling party to align its strategies and prepare for the challenges that lie ahead in the Uttarakhand Assembly Monsoon Session 2024.
