Uttarakhand Government increases Honorarium for Coaches and revises Player Expense Standards

New Guidelines for National Games Training Camps
The Uttarakhand government has issued revised guidelines for the 38th National Games, enhancing financial provisions for training camps. Sports Minister Rekha Arya stated that these changes will significantly benefit players and coaches by improving accommodations, allowances, and sports facilities.


Revised Provisions for Athletes

  1. Accommodation Allowance: Increased from ₹150 to ₹800 per player/coach per day.
  2. Meal Allowance: Raised from ₹250 to ₹480 per day.
  3. Sports Kit: ₹5,000 remains unchanged for kits, including tracksuits, shoes, and accessories.
  4. Equipment Funding: Enhanced from ₹25,000 to ₹3,00,000.
  5. Miscellaneous Expenses: Increased from ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 for items like writing materials, refreshments, and field maintenance.
  6. Travel Allowance: Upgraded from ₹1,500 to ₹2,000.

Enhanced Honorarium for Coaches and Staff

  • Head Coach: From ₹75,000 to ₹1,25,000 per month.
  • Assistant Coach: From ₹40,000 to ₹80,000 per month.
  • Supporting Staff:
    • Physiotherapist: ₹60,000/month.
    • Psychologist: ₹60,000/month.
    • Nutritionist: ₹60,000/month.
    • Masseur: ₹40,000/month.

Focus on Athlete Welfare and Performance

These revisions align with the government’s commitment to fostering athletic talent and ensuring optimal preparation for the National Games. The updated financial support aims to enhance players’ performance by providing better resources and expert guidance.
