Rural Areas of Dehradun :In a significant administrative change, the rural regions of Dehradun have been divided into two zones, each managed by a female Superintendent of Police (SP). SP Rishikesh has been assigned to Jaya Baluni, while Renu Lohani will oversee SP Vikasnagar.
This decision aims to enhance law enforcement efficiency across the geographically diverse rural areas, where Rishikesh comprises mostly plains and Vikasnagar borders Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, including the rugged Jaunsar-Bawar region.
This strategic division highlights the evolving dynamics of police administration in Uttarakhand’s capital.
